Polythene Donate Mission

Mr & Mrs. Pandey started this Initiative with the motive to make their hometown (Ramgarh, Jharkhand) polythene free. The purpose of this initiative is to encourage people to not throw plastics and to educate them about the dangerous effects it causes to the environment and to our health. People are asked to store used plastic bags, wrappers, and plastic bottles in their house and then they bring them to us. We give them a plant of their choice in return. The plant given to them is also planted in a plastic bag. The good quality plastic bags are used as planters, smaller ones are used as fillers of plastic bottles to make eco-bricks and the rest are sent to recycling centers.

Since we have a habit of throwing plastic wastes, it ends up in the landfills or oceans and causes pollution. With this Initiative, we made plastic a valuable asset for people and thus gave them a reason to not throw it in the dustbin. For the past 7 years, Mr. & Mrs. Pandey are working on this and they have collected more than 12 tons of plastics successfully and have donated more than 1 lakh plants! Polythene donate mission is trying to set an example for people by motivating them to come forward for their nature.
